TorcOpen

Shift and Dimple Tool for locking open down hole safety valves

Maintain well control with our one-trip shift and dimple tool to lock open safety valves on the seabed in case of damaged hydraulic/actuator lines. This tool is especially designed to work with the high tolerances and forces involved, for successful execution the first time.

TorcOpen is operated by the Electric Manipulation Tool (EMT) and controlled by TorcDrive. It enables mechanical excercising of the flow tube and dimple, simultateosly as it mechanically lock open the flapper valve within a safety valve, in a single run.

The tool will locate in the no go
After anchoring in the nipple the flow tube and locking tube is translated downwards
The TorcOpen leaves behind a circular pattern of deformed flow tube and locking tube

Key features:

Real-time power signatures in TorcDrive guide you through each step of the process ensuring that the procedure is successful.

With these sigatures for verification on the surface, it facilitates for no jarring and high precision controll over mechanical movements.

Protect the environment and your operation against blow-out and maintain a high level of HSE and well control with E Plug technologies.

FAQ

What is the purpose of the TorcOpen tool?
