Operations Manager, Qatar

 
E Plug has a unique opportunity for a new position as Operations Manager in Qatar. The role will be based in Doha and have the overall responsibility for operations, workshop, personnel, and HSEQ in the country.
We expect a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
On a personal level, the Operations Manager should be characterized openly likable, analytically skilled, and have a high degree of hands-on management style.
 
Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Ensure a high level of Quality and Safety
  • Plan operations, monitor client schedules and operational progress
  • Be the clients` technical focal point
  • Manage and oversee the utilization of resources across the unit, both equipment, and personnel
  • Responsible for all personnel assigned to Qatar including coordinating the rotation schedule
  • Close communications with customer representatives to anticipate business trends and clients’ future requirements 
  • Close communications with cooperating companies in the country
  • Contract holder for any contracts in the country
  • Collaborate with the R&D engineers for solutions and implementation of new technologies
  • Develop relationships with customers to maintain and expand the business
  • Monitor budget and improve cost efficiency
  • Provide technical support to the operational team
 
Desired qualifications & experience:
 
  • Relevant University degree in Engineering
  • Relevant education in Business Administration
  • At least 10 years of industry experience
  • Operational and commercial business knowledge
  • Leadership and management skills 
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
 
We expect you to be able to work independently and know how to combine a strong understanding of technology, business, and people to create value for customers and the business unit.
 
The position will report to the HQ in Norway.

Procurement and Logistics Supervisor

E Plug AS is looking to strengthen its Supply Chain team with a new position as Procurement and Logistics Supervisor that is expected to interact with suppliers, place orders and follows up.

Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Handle procurement activities to ensure successful Operations and Engineering projects
  • Follows up on Purchase Orders for goods and services, simultaneously ensures good cooperation with suppliers and 3rd party providers
  • Provides assistance to the Supply Chain Manager in maintaining the Approved Suppliers Database and perform regular assessment of suppliers and subcontractors
  • Plan, coordinate and participate in meetings with potential suppliers and subcontractors
  • Plan, coordinate and ensure logistic operations are delivered in a timely manner
  • Coordinate transport and logistics planning and execution of equipment transport
  • Participates in the improvement processes of Supply Chain Department
  • Treats with importance QHSE issues within the area of responsibility and reports incidents and nonconformities in QHSE Reporting System
  • Actively participate in all required aspects of QHSE awareness, education, and training
 
Desired qualifications & experience:
  • Relevant higher education, or other relevant experience within supply chain
  • Ideally work experience in a technical, engineering, or oil and gas environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Dangerous Goods by Land, Sea, and Air
  • Knowledge and understanding of import/export rules and regulations
  • ERP System or Excel advance knowledge
  • Good English and Norwegian skills, both oral and written
