The TorcPlug was used to verify the integrity of several side pocket mandrels in a producing well that had scale and corrosion issued and had not been accessed since 2007.

After performing an initial integrity test of the tubing section above the side pocket mandrels it was found that there was a leak in the tubing. The TorcPlug was then manipulated and set at different depths to determine where the leak was.

After 11 settings the leak was pinned down to an interval of 24 metres.

The picture on the left shows the good condition of the elastomer when it came out of the well after performing 11 settings in scale and corrosion.
